I'm an artist-anthropologist who hopes to remind people of the magic that can be found by noticing even the smallest aspects of our everyday surroundings.

I studied Anthropology at Northwestern University (BS) and Human Ecology at Lund University (MS), and now I'm happily continuing to explore the close enmeshment of human cultures and their environments as a PhD researcher of forest spirituality in Eastern Europe at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. 

 

My creative practice is strongly influenced by daily observations of nature and phenology, my Slavic heritage and folk art traditions, religious iconography, and an obsession with miniature things.
